Phillip S. Oberrecht
Phillip S. Oberrecht, a shareholder in the firm, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio State University College of Law in 1976. Mr. Oberrecht concentrates his practice in general commercial and construction litigation, contract claims and hospital, labor and employment law. He is admitted to the Idaho Supreme Court, the federal district courts of Idaho, Colorado and Arizona, the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Federal Claims and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Oberrecht has frequently lectured on construction contract and claims issues, labor and employment law, and architect, accounting and engineering liability.
Mr. Oberrecht is a member of the American Bar Association and its sections of Tort and Insurance Practice, Labor and Employment Law, and Public Contract Law. He belongs to the Federal Bar Association and the Idaho State Bar Association. His involvement with the Idaho State Bar has included serving as Chairman of the Client Security Fund Committee and Special Ethics Investigator. Mr. Oberrecht served as a member and chairman of the Professional Conduct Board of the Idaho State Bar.
Mr. Oberrecht is currently a member of the Associated General Contractors (where he has served on its Board of Directors and on the A.G.C. Labor Lawyers Council) and the International Association of Defense Counsel.
In terms of community activities, Mr. Oberrecht has served as Director and Vice President of the Leadership Boise Academy, Inc., the Task Force on Commercial / Industrial Property Reassessment, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the American Red Cross Blood Services Committee, Board of Advisors of Boise Samaritan Village, Board of Directors of the Idaho Association of Physically Handicapped Adults, Vice President, Treasurer, Director and Communications Officer of Flyfishers of Idaho, and as a member, Vice-chair and Chairman of the Boise State University Radio Citizens Advisory Board and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Idaho Elks Rehabilitation Hospital.
